Samantha Black has worked with TRU Community Care since 2007 as a social worker, clinical manager, Vice President of Clinical Services, and now PACE Executive Director.  Sam is a leader in the field of hospice and palliative care, with 20+ years’ experience as a medical social worker and over 15 years of service in the hospice industry. Sam brings a sensitivity and compassion to TRU’s mission that serves families, patients, staff, and volunteers equally well, with a passion for high quality care through outstanding staff training and support, as well as outreach to the community we serve.

Dorothy works with pre-operational clients throughout the development process, supports existing programs with expansion, training, and support, and consults states that are introducing PACE. Dorothy has provided training and consulting services to 25+ PACE programs in more than 15 states. Prior to her consulting role, Dorothy spent 20 years in community-based health care programming and led the development and implementation of PACE in New Jersey. In 2011, Dorothy was the recipient of the National PACE Association’s Public Service Award for her efforts in bringing PACE to New Jersey. She is a certified End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium trainer and a sought-after presenter on home and community-based long-term care.
