Saint Louis, MO July 1, 2014 – Dr. Richard Schamp, CEO of Capstone Performance Systems, announced several staffing changes and additions at Capstone Performance Systems. Capstone is a consulting firm dedicated to working with Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and similar organizations to optimize Medicare risk adjustment methodologies and to enhance performance, compliance and revenue. PACE organizations provide community-based, comprehensive care to frail seniors and functionally disabled adults. PACE is funded by Medicare and Medicaid with local sponsors.
Neta Kessler, formerly Project Specialist, has been promoted to Operations Manager. Neta’s responsibilities include a central role in communications between Capstone’s consultants, clients, and outside agencies. She provides administrative leadership for Capstone’s consultants and coders and coordinates service delivery for clients. Neta has a Master’s of Science in Healthcare Management from Lindenwood University. In offering this promotion, Dr. Richard Schamp, CEO of Capstone, noted, “Neta has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to our clients and to enhancing our internal systems to support our growth and staff.”
To maintain high levels of service to its growing client base, Capstone has added two additional nurse coders to its staff. “We are especially pleased to welcome these seasoned RNs to our staff. Katina and Malissa seem to have a natural fit in our company and embody the dedication,and service orientation that is crucial to our client-centered values” said Dr. Schamp.
Katina Yablinsky, RN, from New Brighton, PA comes with a strong background of geriatric nursing care and leadership. She has been working in the long term care field for over 20 years, and for the past seven years has been a registered nurse in charge of the rehabilitation unit at a local county nursing home.
Malissa Bolish, RN, from Uniontown, PA, joins Capstone with previous PACE experience as well as hospice and residential geriatric care. Malissa has obtained extensive firsthand knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs through her years of nursing in the geriatric field.
In a major commitment to client growth and success, Capstone has also contracted with George W. Brett, MD, as Senior Medical Consultant. Dr. Brett has served for ten years as Medical Director for LIFE Programs at LIFE Lutheran Services, a PACE organization serving multiple counties in western Pennsylvania. A graduate cum laude from Temple medical school, he complete internal medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh Med Center and is a board-certified geriatrician. He also serves as vice-chair of the National PACE Association Primary Care Committee and is a popular speaker and presenter at PACE conferences. “I believe our clients will be delighted with the unique combination of PACE experience, knowledge and attitude that Dr. Brett brings to them. This is a very positive step forward,” said Schamp.
Capstone currently serves over thirty PACE organizations in the US.
